CiU (Corruption In Ukraine) is an open-source initiative aimed at informing Western audiences about anti-corruption materials published in Ukrainian media.
Unfortunately, Western readers have little to no understanding of the depth of the issue, and topics occasionally raised in Western media don’t cover even 1% of the profound systemic corruption crisis that Ukraine has been experiencing since its independence.
The CiU project is a specialized project that collects, analyzes, translates and adapts the best materials about corruption in Ukraine.
For each material, sources are cited, a copy is made in Web Archive to prevent deletion, and several copies are created to protect materials from possible attacks by both mentioned corrupt officials and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies that often protect them.
Key features:
– Source verification
– Web Archive backup
– Multiple copies for protection
– Translation and adaptation
– Systematic collection and analysis
– Focus on making complex corruption schemes understandable for Western audiences
